This is the fixed gear we pulled and replaced on the <br>
colorado ridge. Lots of old star drives, and some <br>
new redundant bolts that were placed without care <br>
or consideration.

PERFECT tricam placement for the start of P5. You can tension off this enough to get your next piece in the roof as a bomber #0.75 C4.

Bolt from P1 that blew under body weight. Only ~1/2 inch was in the rock (left). Peg below which sheered when I attempted to aid past the blown bolt and fell (right). Please don't camouflage old bad bolts with new Fixe hangers.

This was between bolts 4 and (now missing) 5. Nearly decked my partner.

Being familiar with using two aiders off one piece and backstepping in them is a helpful technique for surmounting the bulge in the roof. (by Dirk Summers)

The 'easy mantle or hook move' midway through P4. Neither was necessary. You can step high in your aiders, yarding on the great flake, and snag the rivet with a nut.
