Evening top out on Playin' Hooky as the sun retreats.

A different perspective of the final moves of the top pitch.

My buddy pulling the last moves on the final pitch, nice and chilly 15 degree day :)

Topo.

As Brenda starts up pitch 4, far below the rafts provide additional entertainment. In the front raft, a man fell out and they're trying to get him back into the raft.

My first climb post quarantine lockdowns!

Eds. The red line deviates at the black roof on P2 from Solid Gold onto Furlough Day. Solid Gold's P2 is on the lighter gray rock to the right of the red line on P2.

Nearing the end of pitch #4.

Tricia Bonman topping out after starting via the PTO P1.

Awesome view from the top. Climbed this route in May when the scenery was green and the creek was high.

The first part of the walkoff from Black Gold & Playin' Hooky.

The walkoff continues around the top of the highliner's gully.

A full topo of the walkoff on the further but easier gully: 30 minutes from the top of Black Gold or Playin' Hooky to their bases.

A view of the nice ledge right below the first set of anchors. Rather than doing a hanging belay, it's easier to set up the anchor, then lower down the 10 feet to this ledge to belay from.

Getting ready to rap after sunset.

On the 2nd belay ledge :)

Henry on the well exposed final pitch.

Rod pulling his second lead ever - on sighting it. The roof to the right looks epic.

Setting up for the rappel.

More fun than working.

Second pitch of the climb.

Playin' Hooky, look at the gold panners below.

Looking up pitch 4. Bolt on the left is for the Solid Gold route. Take the right dihedral for Playin' Hooky.

Summit shot, beautiful views.

At the hanging belay atop Pitch 1. Trad gear will allow you to belay from a ledge 10 feet below.

At anchor #1 waiting for Memphis to rap down.

Looking down when leading the last pitch - the picture was taken on GoPro Max 360 camera.

Despite the road, the rap is pretty scenic.

Test.

Bruce on P2.

Enjoying PH....

The last part of the walkoff on the further but easier gully: many cairns show the way. It is about 30 minutes from the top of Black Gold or Playin' Hooky to their bases.

Yeeeeeeehew.

For the person who was climbing on 9/1/22, I have this shot of you. Message me if you want me to send it to you!

Rapping down from Playin' Hooky.
