Props for going ground up. But what does "avoid contriving things" mean? I think the same could be said as a reason for establishing a route top down! Mar 7, 2018

Agreed.. but for plotting a line out it helped me climb it the easiest way possible the first time. I get on top down stuff a lot where people are focused on a specific feature and as time goes by people end up climbing easier terrain to the left or right or use extra rests that aren't on the bolt line. I just wanted the rest stances included in the 1st time bolting to reduce awkward bolt placements. Ill admit there are a couple bolts on this thing that I'd like to move and probably will someday if feedback agrees. You should make a trip out sometime this spring... I have a lot of stuff in mind and would love to have a motivated partner like yourself. Mar 8, 2018
