The crag is called Eleanor (after Eleanor Roosevelt) hidden for half a century behind the old Spur gas station. Now freed, and the site cleaned, the cliff is amazing fun and extremely user friendly with no approach.

This is a pay to play cliff on private property. There is a $12 charge to climbers to maintain the venue.

The 23 top roping and lead climbing routes are short with hard moves and lots of fun for learning and training. Routes go 5.4 - 5.10b. Lots of hard bouldering routes and a solid 100' low traverse, and a scary upper traverse route with a sandy bottom.

Eleanor has 3 tough vertical slabs, a slight overhanging chimney, a burly arĂȘte with a finger crack, and easier staircase section.

rappel anchors, bolted anchors.

If Palisade Head scars you, warm up on Eleanor just 4 miles south, right on Highway 61 at the stop light. You can't miss her.
