Tahquitz

A beautiful third edition of A Climber's Guide to Tahquitz Rock found in the SD library.

Climbing topo and description of the friction descent from Tahquitz. The latest version of this topo can always be found at github.com/bcrowell/tahquitz

Look for the mossy boulder to the left and the flat rock that looks like a good seat to the right. This is where you peel off left up the steep hill for the climber's trail.

This is the first page of the Original 1943 Guide to Climbs at Tahquitz. This "guide book" consisted of 9 mimeographed pages describing 16 routes. A rare complete edition of this guide will soon be showing at the Idyllwild Historical Society Museum.
