Its all uphill from the lower; downhill then uphill from the upper connected by Limestone Run Road. There is a clearing about 50 ft due south of the small bridge on the side of a hill; I fixed the cairns at the base of the clearing near the road. Go uphill to the south side of that clearing to find the old fire trail that is all uphill to the crag. Cairns should mark

Picture of the correct clearing with the planted trees. There is another clearing further up towards the upper parking lot about 200 to 300 ft. You could get to the crag that way but the bushwacking would kill you. Note: Cairns will mark the path from this way on.
Picture of the gate that blocks Limestone Run Road from the lower parking lot. My friend made the mistake of following the road next to the river. Make sure to take the road behind gate 051-5.
