I know a someone who thought this was the first pitch of Mungie. No big deal, except that this person was freesoloing (with no rope). They said it seemed rather difficult for 5.6, but the jams were awesome so they continued. When a bolted belay was reached this climber knew something was amiss, as there is no bolted belay at the top of Mungie's first pitch. Now a decision had to be made: continue up (5.9 roof traverse!) or downclimb.... This wise person chose to carefully climb down. The difficulty was increased by the awkwardness of having a tail tucked between the legs while trying to look down... Moral of my friend's experience: check out which route you're on very carefully before committing... Sep 3, 2018

Wonder if a similar experience is how the route got its name..... Sep 3, 2018
