Route Photo 5 I believe this photo is looking down the "west face" of Proteus into the Proteus-Harpoon snow basin. The rope to Sheila has snagged on a rock.

Mt Proteus from just above camp - the "southern glacier" route is out of the photo to left (the So. glacier is, in fact, just on the other side of the two lower peaks.... climbers may want to view rock walls on the other side.
Route Photo 3 - We moved onto the glacier, but as I said in the DESCRIPTION it's probably better to just stay on the rock rib, but we didn't know that at the time. (We might have incorrectly though the rib was the south ridge of Harpoon, "old school 5.4")
Route Photo 4 - This was taken on the descent (we descended the rock rib). I can't remember whether we climbed the glacier or the snow gully, so I marked them both! I think we did the left line...??? (I also forget the name of our friend here.)

Route Photo 2 - Swing left around the terminus of the "southern" glacier. This is what it looked like in 1995. Head for the rock rib on left.
Route Photo 1 - Start by climbing west out of the valley, headed for what appears to be a col at far right of the photo.
