If the river is too high there is a footbridge that can be walked across the river
Tóftin hut. Camping area is to the right, and past that is the outhouse. The camping area has a picnic table and fire pit, but firewood is a bit scarce in Island. You definitely won't find any around the crag, so stop early to buy some if you really want firewood.
Sun was set, and hard to get a good picture of this arctic fox...hard to even see him in the first place. He was hiding behind some sheep, who didn't seem to mind. I first noticed him as a blur heading for some rocks as we passed near the sheep. I later saw him stick his head out for a peek, and then once more, before he darted into a den beneath the boulders. You'll find bird carcasses around the fields, just bones and feathers with the meat delicately picked away.
