Jon, the suggestion to establish more TR or trad lines (and keep bolts from cluttering a wall) is a good one. I love bolts, but can't stand it when they have been put on every conceivable line (esp when put right next to cracks, simply because it's a sport climbing area I guess). I know of places around here (OK Valley) where the bolts need to be color coded to have a clue which go with which route!

Since I started drilling bolts by hand (put in about 100 before getting my first Bosch) the Kettle Valley routes tend to have fewer, and any gear placement utilized - that makes for some weird routes though, with mostly bolts and a tiny nut protected crux 80' up!

I've been noticing the glitch in the topo pics for a while now. I thought it had something to do with needing to be refreshed, as some have corrected eventually, but it can't be changed from my end…. Nov 29, 2016

Yes Jason, he is retired (I don't think he spends the winter there), and lives across the road along the river. Nov 29, 2016
