Paul Ross on the first ascent.... bivy above pitch 5th July 1971. This was Ross's very first climb on Cannon.
....and sticks the crux on p5.
Rains and Hud (Mark Hudon) at the bivy ledge on the morning of day 2. I suspect few if any ascents were made using the way we went way back then. The freeing of the route definitely found a different way to go. Too many thin blade cracks on the line we took.

Rains leading the 3rd pitch on the first complete ascent of the Lab in Nov 1974. Rains and Hud had found the bivy ledge the week before. We then came back and completed the upper pitches of the route in deteriorating weather a week later. Spent 2 night on the wall. A fantastic journey.
