DO NOT GO THIS WAY, Exit Gully to the Right, heading toward the endless staircase. Don't cross over the logs. (Many tracks and well worn trail shows many have made this mistake.

Maybe 3/4 of the way to the top, there is definitely an arrow that shows you going through this slot, but for the life of me, I could not figure out where to go after that. I ended up going up and around it.
