The P4 rightward traverse to a lovely hand crack

Janet climbing the wild (and steep!) knobby face.This is the mental crux of the route (at least for me), as you need to go about 15 feet on knobs and around the crest before you can set a piece. The technical crux is around where I set the green alien in the photo (midway through the crack). The crack takes good gear. Our highest piece before the crack petered out was a 0.75 cam. A yellow alien above the crux-protecting green alien is also nice to have.

Pitch 2 finishes with a bit of face. There are just enough holds to make it climbable. I recall that small- to medium- cams protected it well (I think I set the green and yellow and red aliens).

Looking up Pitch 2 of The Valkyrie. Goes right from the belay, then up a crack to lieback offwidth (#5 cam might fit).

The corner on the second half of Pitch 2 of The Valkyrie. I set an intermediate belay at a nice ledge below this corner.

Hand/fist crack on on the second half of Pitch 4 of The Valkyrie. This crack is hidden from view until you pull around the arete.

5.9 cracks on Pitch 3 of The Valkyrie.

Pitch 1. Plenty of options on the slab lead to steep climbing in the corner.
