it's easy to get past this section without relying on it.  
Climbed this route about a month ago, didn't see this feature it must have pulled off. My buddy pulled a flake off close to the ground.. be careful out there! Sep 1, 2017

I wonder though if some people might mistake that "X" for an arrow, like a tic mark, and grab there.

Perhaps it will just require a crowbar to remove. May 24, 2016
