Or if you're tall and awkward like me you can just scum your entire upper body onto the block as you roll up onto it. A shirt is recommended. The move is not.

But really though, this is a fun move. I'm surprised the climber in the picture didn't put any pro in under the block-but I guess he is getting his stone mountain head game on. Feb 2, 2016
I did this for the first time back in November. First time leading on trad, I was relieved to reach the block after some long runout. I got spooked at the move even though I had great protection placed. Getting lowered, I traversed to the gully on the left when the rope ran out and had my partner finish up the route. Following on TR, the move is a breeze. It's a head game trusting your foot up on the block. Just do it. Feb 3, 2016
