Conditions on April 1, 2006. Approach was a slog. Line shows the route taken with belays. Crux was mixed terrain at start of second pitch

Two climbers and a little blowing snow on the third pitch of All Mixed Up.

This topo map shows the terrain and degree of slope for the area approaching AMU. (A.K.A. where the avalanche potential is).

Normal descent is shown in green. There can be potential avalanche danger getting to the base of the route, between the two tiers, and at the top of the last pitch. Buyer beware!

"All Mixed Up" on November 12th, 2005 with incredible approach conditions. A rare nonslogging day for this climb.

Conditions 10/16/4. Would be nice to have a conditions picture option instead of this action photo or beta photo only, especially for ice climbs.

Christa leads up the first pitch avoiding ice fall from climbers above. Our line climbed straight up the steep ice to the right of the other party.

As of 11/21 - thin ice in places, but rock gear protects well. <br>

Expect a bit of this on the walkoff - a rap station was available through here just below the bushes - AMU, 11/2013.

Conditions after the storm 12/3/2011.

The route, plenty of hard, blue ice.

Conditions as of 12/16/2011. A little thin. The WI3 line up the middle went for another party; just left of that did not go for us.

A fat year on AMU, WI3+ - 11/2013.

Breaking trail to Black Lake all day 28-October-2006. Summer trail to Mill's Lake now well-packed (until more snow drifts in!). River route not yet compact and solid. All Mixed Up looking good . . .

From walk-off descent, a better perspective on steepness of the route, and a 3 pitch option which worked well for us - WI3+ - 11/2013.

We did this route on November 6th, 2007. If you free solo the easy slab at the beginning of the route, it's posssible to climb the entire route in 2 roped 60 meter pitches, linking the 2nd and 3rd pitches into one incredible pitch.
