Anybody know these routes? These are about 100 yards downhill of Snorkeling in the Rhyolite. They're the first routes you find as you walk up the drainage from the parking pullout.

A: Out of view to the left. Thin face with 3 bolts. Significantly easier after the 2nd bolt (5.10-?)

B: Very hard starting bulge with shiny new orange bolt

C: Tough starting bulge with some crumble holds. 2nd bulge is easier but sharp. (5.11-?)

There are cold shuts at the top of C and some other random old bolts with SMC hangers at the top. Hard to clean the draws off of A because there is no rappel equipped anchor on that face. There is also climbing on the right pinnacle.

"A" appears to be Gumby Patrol (5.10b)
"B" is Nemesis (5.11c)
I don't know what "C" is
The left climb on the right pillar is Virgin Vinyl (5.9)
The right route on the right pillar is also about 5.9, but I don't know the name.

Haven't done it in a LONG time, but here's a shot from Jan. '96 on that left route and Virgin Vinyl (R). Seem to recall it was thin, but a decent route. No big pockets, just old skool Queen Creek, pulling the skin off your pads off on crimpy holds.

Thanks for the beta.

The start of route C had some crumbling holds, including a decent sized one I broke off, so I think it could be getting harder over time. But I could buy hard 5.10. Nov 29, 2015
