Coming down the moraine on the Glacier Noire after attempting the Pic Coolidge.<br> The route ascends the couloir (out of view) and then traverses right onto the arete (above snow that is in lower left), crosses two snow fields to reach the brosse. Then onward along the ridge to the summit which is the smaller, flatter looking point (center right, not center left).

Second snowfield, the brosse clearly in view. Do not climb the brosse (visible formation, very chossy!!!) , traverse right over snow/ice. This is the only opportunity for an easy escape down to the superior Glacier Noire. Exceptional spot to bivouac, weather permitting.
