The North Face of Haystack Peak. The route follows broken shadow through any number of corners and weaknesses. We descended by the gully that is visible, splitting the shadow, with one short rap at the bottom.
Approximate route: climb up a bit on the left leaning crack for the first belay in a scoop. The second belay is a small ledge about 30 feet down from the 4 foot roof. The third belay is a small ledge to the left of a pile of loose rocks.
