Yeah, this roof would have been a nightmare, and extremely dangerous, to onsight with the equipment available at the time and Greg placing pitons by hand as described with the large slab below! Now, it is much more sane, but still a little intimidating, with modern gear.

Great to hear you chime in, Kim! The stories of your past climbs are legendary in their own right. I love seeing all the old stuff you've posted, and your pictures of climbing Infinite in the City of Rocks are gold! Until I saw those photos, that climb kind of sounded mythical. Jeff Lowe seemed to speak more highly of that climb than this one even. Nov 4, 2016

One of the few routes that Greg spoke reverently about. As in, shezzzzz, I could have taken a huge fall - but had to power through this.

Now, after all the data appears to be in - this could have been one of the hardest climbs in the world at the time it was done. No doubt lead on-sight, all free, no falls, pounding the occasional pin as needed! Nov 1, 2016

It's a great route that I think you'd enjoy, Clay. Feb 2, 2014
