No one has ascended the peak from this side and for good reason. Chuck Comstock flew a glider off the top and crashed a few times during the Wilderness Classic Race. He used the frame of the glider to catch him from falling into crevasses as he hiked 60+miles up the Nabesna Glacier to the top of the Stairway.
