The start
Hi Matt, no I did not, haha. It was wonky up there. I set up a sketchy belay in a crumbling chossy depression type thing, then switched over to a top-rope setup on a tree and lowered down. I had to thrash through the prickers to access the tree.

The top of this climb is unfortunate. It is confusing and ill-suited for establishing an anchor. A 2-bolt fixed anchor on a nice direct angle above the climb, before the rock degrades at the top of the buttress, would be a great solution. (No idea how likely this is, or how the process works. Just sayin.) Thanks for all you do at Moore's! Sep 15, 2016

Lol, that would explain why I thought it seemed way hard! Will try this way next time. Don't suppose you took up some gardening tools and cleaned the top up any? Sep 12, 2016
I think this way of starting is harder than the sequence to the climber's right (directly below the roof crack) Sep 12, 2016
