This is the slab on Mt Webster directly across from Mt Willey. Lost in the sun is on the slab just out of the picture on the right. Feb 5, 2014

This is the slab across from Willard? Explored that twice and the photo looks like it.
Apparently I had Bore Tide on wrong slab. Someone found Bore Tide and did it and they were lost from the beginning of their climb.
Consensus is Bore Tide goes up the northern side of central slabs. Furthest right is the cascade slab section.
1983 Entered and crossed the river to reach the start slab lowest left in photo (5.5 solo or trad run out). That's How I got to the giant very low angle boiler plate slab and it does not seem to end on a hot day. Exited before the head wall top off because top off into pines was not worth it to bushwhack. 1st and 2nd trip took the rock gully up right of head wall to trail. 2nd trip was awfully hot without any cloud shade. Second ascent no bolt kit was necessary and hundreds of feet trailing ropes Paul and I soloed together. Quitting before head wall was better than heat stroke. Both trips parked at Crawford trail parking lot. I saw this section as high quality very boring climbing and name Bore Tide is appropriate. Thanks for the Beta Travis. Feb 5, 2014
