P7 (25m) led to big bucket for 3 with 8" off-width start to P8. For P8 we decided to go left around block at top (who knows what lies ahead) vs. easier traverse rt.

We got a little off route and decided to rope up for a bit, glad we brought the rope......even though it only protected me for one 5.6/7 move to get back on route. Gabe enjoying the view.

Fun knife edge on the way. This really is a great route.

Looking down at clouds pouring into Skunk Canyon from near the top of the route.

Late Fall jaunt.

Our GPS track. We started from NCAR (follow track clockwise). The yellow dot is where the summit is for this climbing route, we think. Either way, easy climb. Great climb. Getting there was more exciting than the climb. Lot of bush whacking....

View from halfway up Angel's Way. The Back Porch is the prominent pinnacle above Warren on the skyline.

The dike that runs up the first part of the route.

Another photo of the layback crack. You can see how low angle it is. Super easy and great fun!

Optional bouldery moves at the upper headwall.

Looking up P1-2.

The summit of Angel's Way.

Ahh, a cool narrow ledge around the big block ... on to the summit from here.

Belay after P3 just above layback crack.

Fun, fun, fun.

Climb the East face of the final summit blk - should be 5 1/2 pitches to this pt.

When you hit this wall on P6, go just right of pro and make 5.6 move. Maybe something easier further rt?

Looking up at P3.

Here is the opening "crux" Roach talks about. Pretty casual compared to other 5.0s he rates.

Ther perfect Layback crack (made to look harder than it is).

Starting the downclimb. Great hand and foot holds. Steep but all there.

The start of the route.

A fun feature just left of ridge.

The descent - you can go straight down on 5.2ish jugs or zig zag on a ramp to keep it 4th Class.

Reviewing the north downclimb off Angel's Way.

P9 was the downclimb from summit ridge, traverse east and belay on north block. P10 was short traverse to tree on west face. Rap'd 30' east from tree vs. tricky downclimb. West side rap > 100'?

Gabe soaking up the view.

Looking down from a third of the way up on maybe the sharpest section of the ridgeline I climbed.

P7 start on final summit east face. Diag crack with dead lichen - maybe no one does this route - but it was fun.

Enjoying the lovely layback crack.

Cranking the sweet layback on Angel's Way!
