Albert Ramirez at the belay of the second pitch.
The crux of the route is edging/friction up the obvious white trough leading to the third bolt visible in this image. It is a short crux tough, and of all the routes on this wall, I think this has the lion's share of really good, crisp edges. he first time I did this route was in the fall of 1971. My partner took a 20 footer off the crux, and handed the lead over to me. It was my first 5.9 lead, and it felt pretty spicy in my borrowed klettershoes and no chalk. I've done the route many times since then...always a favorite, and much more enjoyable in new shoes, with a harness and using chalk. Mar 22, 2015
