Alternate start: left side splitter crack and squeeze chimney. Approach from below, instead of traversing left from Jam Crack and Dave's Deviation. It's fun, adds 40+ feet of good splitter and a squeeze. It's not 5.4, but neither is the trough @SEMICOLON@-)

We climbed this today thinking it was the start. Does anyone know what it is? Apr 11, 2014
We used this start last Saturday. One of the regulars at the belay said "That's the "Trough Direct 5.7". For Tahquitz Standards it's probably 5.5 or 5.6. But who cares about grades, it was fun! Jun 28, 2015
Did this on accident today, looking for The trough. Probably the best pitch on the route. Super Fun Jun 11, 2017
