Its a really good idea to belay from the first bolt.  There is a two bolt belay about 20 feet right, directly under the top belay and near the tree in the bottom of this photo.  However, if you belay from there, the rope is directly under the leader and no one wants to fall onto their own rope.  <br>

If you're really worried about belaying from one bolt, you can always put in a small cam or nut behind the flake at my knees. Sep 18, 2011
