Small gear behind a hollow flake, and me glad for all of the top-rope practice that preceded this lead. Also, the camera flash makes it look much brighter than it actually was. Photo: Jason McKeefry.

Burt, this was an after-work evening trip, this was about 10:15pm I think, last climb of the day. This is not the only gear on the route, and a lead is a fair bit less dangerous than a solo, as there is a ball-nut placement in the horizontal right before the final crux move that is quite good, and I felt the one well-protected move on the whole route would be the easiest one to screw up. Nice lead. I always wanted to lead that route... but I think a solo would be more appropriate with some TR rehearsal. Way to get it! Aug 2, 2011

What Dylan? The days are not long enough in July? Just kidding...
Nice job. Is that THE gear on this route? Anything else higher? Aug 2, 2011
