That flake was both pried with a crowbar to check that it was solid and then reinforced with glue in a crack on the right side. It ain't going nowhere dudes!

I is a bit spooky because it sounds hollow, but the back side of it is very wide and solid. Maaaaybe if some freak comes and start pulling out like a mofo on the right side, the crack could possibly start expanding more and more damaging the robustness of the feature. Well, don't do it and live with it. Rock climbing requires learning to understand the rock that you are climbing.

I thought it was quite sketchy. "Should be around for awhile" should not be an acceptable option when the flake will likely kill someone when it falls off. Jul 31, 2013
