The rangers have been advising people to rap off the slung boulder. It only requires a 60 meter rope if you rap straight out from the boulder and during the rappel you stay to skiers left. Aug 25, 2017

This rappel always has slings around the boulder. It can be done with one 70 meter rope. A 70 meter will put you right at the bottom with less than a foot of rope to spare. Use caution if your rope does not have a middle mark. Sep 20, 2016
Climbed Upper Exum route July 2015. There is a newer bolted rap to the left of the sling around the rock that is a longer rappel. I used the sling around the rock to rappel using a 60 meter rope and made sure that the rope was as far to climbers right (south) as possible and made the ground with feet to spare. Dec 23, 2015
