This old swamp has some of the coolest geology in the state, even though none of the climbs are very tall. The horizontal roof sections are sometimes covered in patina making for bomber holds. It's the vertical portions of the sandstone that feel soft and sometimes break in certain places. Avoid any damp/wet holds. Funny... the rock on the island is sandstone too but much much better quality. Aug 23, 2010

The sandstone overhangs are on poor quality sandstone. That being said, there is a great range of difficult and all awesome movement! There are a few overhanging traverses that have real potential. Directions are difficult. I'll work up a map. Aug 12, 2010
