Another history excerpt....I am glad that this picture is documented...unfortunately it doesn't look the same today...the big rock which is perfect for putting your shoes on is no longer there...see, as climbers we are somewhat selfish...I am...however, someone decided to roll that stone over the edge because he decided that he wanted to slack line from that puny Juniper tree to another bigger juniper and felt that the "get the shoes on boulder was inconvenient for slack-lining....Fortunately...I wasn't there when this happened, otherwise somebody would have gotten hurt...the godfather however was at the Meader wall and quickly investigated (ran to get there)...and "the dude" was oblivious...hindsight is 20/20, we should have used the rest of the glue to permanently keep that boulder in place (that we pulled off the wall) in place....I guess what I am saying is that we blatantly put that stone in that position for a reason (I was there when it was pulled off the wall)...just like we excavated all the Earth but left the small juniper there for a reason....Am I selfish...hell ya...So the question is...where do the ethics lie?...This dude wouldn't be here if we didn't excavate this area. Therefore, he wouldn't have chucked the stone to the bottom...Where did we go wrong? Mar 11, 2017
