Fett after climbing the "right" crack, ptch 2 Bourbon Street
I thought it was about 10+ or 11- and was hard to protect, took micro cams and pnuts. The crux was getting in and out of this weird pod (just below me in the photo) rock quality wasnt the best either. I didnt mean to climb this var. but I got tunnel vison and didnt realize I was off route until I was in the crux and committed to finish what I got myself into. Was a great adventure with route finding being the crux for me LOL. At the top of this pitch there was a huge chuckawalla lizard hanging out on the belay ledge, it was the biggest lizard I have ever seen (he was chillin in the sun). Wish I would have climbed the left crack for sure. Great find must have been a blast putting it up.

how hard was the right hand crack? it didnt look all that appealing according to larry when we did the FA on Bourbon (he had scouted it before), so we took the left hand one. Apr 30, 2010
