The climber on the left is on "Welcome to Echo" and the climber on the right is on "Man's Best Friend." "Sasha" climbs the black water streak in the middle, through the small black roof. Oct 30, 2010

Cory's correct, this photo is of the "Upper Tier." The Grotto, which includes Xanadu and Low Rider, is directly below the "Upper Tier." Reverb and Welcome to Echo (5.10a) are located in the "Upper Tier" and Louie Anderson lists these routes in the Left Flank in his 2003 guide to the Santa Monica's, but the Left Flank and the Upper Tier are separate areas. As Cory indicates there is an approach to the "Upper Tier" through the Grotto or via an unpleasant scramble up the loose gully left of "Bushed Coyote." Oct 29, 2010

This photo shows the Upper Tier. The base of these climbs is above the top of the climbs in the Grotto. To access it, hike through the Grotto, scramble up some rocks, and look for a trail that goes up to the right. Mar 22, 2010
