One of the most important Lake District pioneers of the late 1950's.Peter led the final pitch of Route 1 .While doing this he took a fall from the last moves and fell most of the way down the smooth upper wall,after a bit of bad language he completed this impressive pitch.He later founded Britain's largest outdoor manufacturing company Berghaus.
