The Access Fund & SCMA stewardship and trail maintenance project at the Main Slab at Big Rock (04/18/21).

A beautiful 4 ft. Red Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus ruber) out prowling for a meal on the approach to Big Rock.

Good turnout to climb at Main Slab at Big Rock on a beautiful Spring day.

Looking back up the start of the standard descent. The anchors for Let it Bleed and Cheap Thrills are just out of sight, past the skyline of the rock in the center of the pic. You can see the lightened streak from foot traffic, coming down from the top of the large flake.

Continuing the descent past the anchor for EHG. Across the slab and slightly down, until you can step off the slab, onto the hillside. Follow the trail down around to the left, to the base of the rock.
