Fun 5.6 crack climbing.

Mark calmly heads up Batman Pinacle while his belayer watches the lightning across the valley. Common weather condition, same thing happened 2 weeks later with a different partner. In both cases, we got little or no rain.

Pitch 2 of 3. This part was fun. FYI: the first pitch we stayed out of the easy corner on the right after the 5.4 white runout dike (fun) by going R and up the higher R-facing dihedral (5.6-5.7). Watch out for rope drag.

This is the path of least resistance on the first pitch. After placing the #2 Camalot at my waist in the photo, climb up and to the left on the jugs (5.5) towards the small Ponderosa tree. I will post a picture of the #2 Camalot placement.
