that's the way I went (the chimney) one move of 5.7 protected by a #1 camalot, fixed gear (2 or so welded cams) lower down on the route. Mar 7, 2010

Nelson's guidebook says to go right after the lieback, which was fairly easy. I'm sure you could go either way. Aug 10, 2010

I'd say doing the offwidth bulge in the chimney make the climb more fun and adds another pitch of 5.7 or 5.8- climbing. But I also love offwidths, so perhaps most folks would rather stick to the right side and avoid this. Jun 21, 2018
