Direct dihedral start of pitch 1, Empor. This start is definitely 5.8 without using the boulder. However, the difficult climbing with scant protection is down low. Several laybacks and "thank-god" holds as well as ample pro greet the leader in the second half of this photo and beyond.<br>

The standard route cruises up and to the climber's right, but it shares many of the same difficulties down below.
