Thanks Nate... you need to look me up when your down here next.
Beagle, whoever you are, I promise that when I am done replacing anchors in various places, there will still be ten times that many left that you can go out and risk your ass, leave behind excessive amounts of equipment that will break down in 4 months, and that land managers and non climbers find offensive. Enjoy them... they will be here for as long as we will. Apr 25, 2008

Thanks for doing that Sam. I was rather disapointed seeing that pile of rotting webbing, and now I am glad it is gone. It now looks much cleaner and, in my opinion, removes some of the visual impact that the climbers have on the tower. Thank You. Apr 25, 2008
"Honest" anchor Beagle? As in honestly poor and unsafe? That was a freaking mess! Not only hard to check, but the nylon slings are clearly toast! I am not saying there needs to be bolts/chains everywhere, but tat nylon cooking in desert sun is not good for anyone. The anchor Sam made is excellent and he did a great job at camouflaging it.

Thanks again Sam. I don't place bolt/chain anchors, however I have been trying to improve existing, crappy nylon tat at rap stations. It takes time, but as you well know someone has to do it. Jun 8, 2010
