In this scenario, the follower is dead-screwed after removing that high nut ..... Nothing left but a giant slam-swing that is held by the belayer only. (Assuming this photo is taken from a built anchor. If the leader keeps going up Upper Refuse, a safer scenario is made for the follower because the rope will come straight down from above that nut).
