Nick Stayner
Aug 14, 2007
The three Continental Towers. The leftmost is the North, FA Trevor Bowman and Nick Stayner 8/2001. Center is the Middle, FA Fred Beckey/Bob Stevenson 1967. Right is the South, FA unknown. Paul Horton and Joe Kelsey did the first recorded ascent via the Northwest Arete (the prominent arete/ridge on the left margin of the South's lower buttress). The line on the lower buttress was new, but the party found pins on their West Ridge route on the summit tower, as well as an Army piton rap anchor near the summit. Continental Drift, FA Trevor Bowman/Nick Stayner is described in this site's route database.
