I believe that the way the blue line joins the red is not the 'standard' Cave Route.

See the small white dot in this showing the belay ledge we used at the top of P1. It is on a weakness that continues quite a bit up and right which matches much better with the marked photo in Mick Schein's "Sandia Rock" (page 59).

Any idea how hard it is to follow through to where red joins blue in the photo? Does it protect? Mar 31, 2012

The blue P2 matches fairly well with Hill's guidebook ('93). I started the second pitch just above the crux slot and climbed slightly right of the blue line. It was fairly clean with easy climbing and good pro. A nice diagonal crack just right of the base of the cave facilitates a safe traverse for your second over to the anchors. Sep 26, 2017
