Definitely not photo shopped, that is the original pic. The flash came on so it brightened up the rock for sure. This killer .11+ crack route is located on Mt. Herman near Monument, Co.
Here's my theory: this splitter crack bisects a 60' free standing pillar which has a perfect bird of prey flat hangout spot on the summit. I think that some big ass bird like a turkey vulture or golden eagle got a hold of a grey fox carcass and sat up there and ate it. Over time it worked it's way down the crack to where it is wedged in this photo (about 30' from the top). Jun 11, 2014
