I finally got around to linking the Kristo pic with the rest of Crimson Chrysalis...pretty incredible!
This guy named Kristo from CO who works with the access fund on the first pitch of Crimson Chrysalis.
There I am looking very mountainy and relieved to be off that damn wall. This descent was very taxing and took almost a full day to complete. Hard routefinding, bolstering sketchy rappel slings, and leaving many many taped 'biners behind all added to the difficult 3rd and 4th class scrambling down tree and bush choked gullies and other aggressive plants... Again, aiding at the Oasis. We were practicing aiding as Resolution Arete was in the forecast for the next day. Several poor nut placements which blew out ruined my confidence for the Res, but eventually led to me fixing the poor placements - so a good thing all in all. Photo taken by Tom Gray.
