And I'd wager that Terry is in a pair of new EB's, tied in with a gut wrenching swami belt and has a pile of oval carabiners for a rack..."quick Draws" were a long way from invention when this shot was taken...and if he is taking chalk along, I'll bet its in a tiny stuff sack that would close around your wrist when you dipped into it. Was Tobin involved with 1st ascent? Sep 26, 2017
The FA predates Tobin's starting to climb by a year or two.

I was nailing the Pirate (then an aid climb) and all morning there was someone drilling within earshot.

Valhalla is the only route that fits the timeframe and location so we musta' been there. Sep 26, 2017
