Movement Boulder

Movement opened its doors in Boulder in the summer of 2009 and boasts an energy efficient, highly solar-powered, "light and bright" design. The main climbing wall starts below ground level and thus contains some relatively long routes, especially on the overhanging "grey wall" which takes center stage when you walk in. Stadium seating allows people to hang out and watch climbers without cluttering the floor or craning their necks. A small but world class bouldering area is set off to the side and includes an extremely overhanging "cave". Also included is a fitness center, cycling room, yoga studio, and child care center. Many classes and programs are offered as part of the standard membership. As with all climbing gyms in Boulder, crowds can be huge - especially on weekday nights and bad weather days.
