Does anyone have a source they use for seeing recent weather at a given location? Am I missing an obvious source? Hoping to find a source for true/observed weather from the past week or month rather than, say, historic averages.

Have you checked NOAA?

As far as I know, this allows you to look up data for specific days. Though the details are relatively limited. There's probably an API out there for this.

Here's the link for 3 day rain total. It was super helpful for desert climbing. They have loads of other maps and data.

Noaa for planning, RadarScope for live monitoring

Specifically for desert climbing I used to use but they disabled the zoom feature on their map for some reason. Now I use which is even better.

Decent option, but approximate by closest city or major area, not like at GPS coordinates. was the bees knees when the zoom worked.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
