This is a (?8.5mm) Mammut Genesis dry treated half rope. These are SUPER durable 1/2 ropes with 45% sheath percentage. I actually purchased it to use as an alpine single rope for long moderate routes where a fall is unlikely but still allows for 35m rappels without taking a tag line also (i.e. the Beckey Chouinard; alpine ropes seem to wear out from sheath abrasion more than any other reason [YMMV] which is why I sometimes prefer it to a triple rated rope - do some research, make your own decision). Condition is lightly used, with NO nicks or abrasions. Dry treatment is still super fresh. Or pair it with another 1/2 rope for ice season and your Canadian rockies holiday plans! $70 + ship  |
