I know there are signs posted in Humber park that you can't sleep in your car there. But are there other spots nearby where you can get away with it?

Sounds like that isn't open right now due to road damage? Am I reading that right?

If anyone knows of a little nook I can park my Subaru in and sleep for a night, that's really all I need. Neighborhoods, park n rides...etc

Do they get rousted a lot?

Never heard of it happening.

The risk of being tooled by USFS for low profile overnight vehicle bivies at Humber has always been pretty low. These days, ‘rousting’ is far more likely from late night party tweakers, which are definitely on the increase in Idyllwild.

I spent plenty of nights at Humber. Even big vans didn’t really get messed with. As long as you’re not throwing your stuff everywhere you’ll be alright. I’d get some pretty good sleep too until the 6am weekend warriors would show up to do Devils Slide
